City of McGregor, Texas

The Exchange Event Center

The Exchange was originally a commercial grainery in McGregor.  Built in the 1950’s, grain was sold and purchased at this location and shipped out via the railroad spur located near the property.  Originally outfitted with several large grain silos, it afforded a centralized location for farmers to get produce to market easily.  During the 1970’s the Facility was purchased, and a Co-Op and agricultural members could store their grain there until shipping time.  It returned to private hands and then remained empty until it was purchased through the McGregor Economic Development Corporation for the City of McGregor in 2018.  The building is currently undergoing renovations into an event facility for the City of McGregor and surrounding areas. The anticipated finish of the renovations is October 2019. There are various donation and naming options available through the McGregor Downtown Exchange Corporation Board.

The Exchange is 75’ x 200’ for a total of 15,000 sq ft. with variable lighting, and a flexible floor plan.  This rustic, but elegant, event facility can accommodate up to 600 guests seated at round tables.  The Exchange is available for private rentals, corporate events, fundraisers, and numerous other event opportunities.  The Venue is not available for ticketed concerts or sports events unless management grants specific permission.  Various rooms and areas are available for rental separately.

For More Information please contact Cassie Thomas, Event Center Manager. Cassie is temporally located at the McGregor Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture building until renovations on the facility are complete.
