Leo Connor has been the Executive Director of the Economic Development Corporation in McGregor since May 2005. Before coming to McGregor, he was the Executive Director of the Okeechobee Development Authority in Okeechobee, Florida where he recruited new business and managed the airport and industrial park. Connor grew up in Florida and is a graduate of the University of South Florida with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Economics. Leo is also a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma.  
 


The City of McGregor Economic Development Corporation was founded in 1997 by an action of the McGregor City Council and local election. The group aggressively markets the City of McGregor and its 9,500 acre industrial park and oversees the use of funds obtained from a 1/2 cent sales tax. The Corporation also provides assistance to any business interested in locating or expanding with the City of McGregor.

The MEDC Board consists of 7 members and employs a full-time President.
