CHAPTER 11: CITY STANDARDS Section City Map 11.01 Findings 11.02 Official map adopted 11.03 Boundary changes CITY MAP § 11.01 FINDINGS. The following recitals are found to be true and correct and are adopted and made a part hereof for all purposes as findings of fact: (A) The city, a state home rule municipality, has directed the City Engineer to prepare a map indicating the boundaries of the city and the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the city; (B) The City Engineer reviewed the official records of the city and surrounding cities and has presented the city with a map reflecting the boundaries of the city and the extraterritorial boundaries based upon the official records of the city; (C) The Executive Airport, portions of Highway 84, and other properties previously annexed within the city limits have been continuously treated as within the city limits for more than 20 years; and (D) The map adopted by this subchapter sets out the true, correct, and official boundaries of the city and the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. (Ord. 24-85C, passed 6-12-2000) § 11.02 OFFICIAL MAP ADOPTED. The map marked and labeled “McGregor City Map” is adopted as the official map of the city. The official map shall be maintained in the office of the City Secretary. The map may be amended and corrected from time to time by the City Council. The city limits and extraterritorial jurisdiction indicated upon the map are declared to be the official city limits and extraterritorial jurisdiction for the city. All property shown on the official map as within the city limits, including the Executive Airport and portions of Highway 84, are declared to be within the city limits. The City Secretary shall record the official map among the records of the county. (Ord. 24-85C, passed 6-12-2000) § 11.03 BOUNDARY CHANGES. (A) All boundary changes after the effective date of this subchapter shall be reflected on the official map upon completion of the annexation, extension of extraterritorial jurisdiction, or other change in the boundaries of the city and the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. (B) The official map shall be annotated to indicate: (1) The date of the boundary change; (2) The number of the ordinance or resolution, if any, by which the change was made; and (3) A reference to the minutes or ordinance records or resolution records in which the ordinance or resolution is recorded in full.
